SPOTLIGHT Interview

~What is your role at CAISSA? (i.e. How would you explain your job to someone new to financial services?)~
My role at CAISSA is to be the main point of contact for all things related to Charles Schwab. I assist with opening new acounts and all types of account maintenance.

~What gets you excited about your work?~
I love working with clients and getting to know them. I enjoy helping them and making their lives easier – whether it is something as simple as moving money, or a more complicated issue such as a Trust or Estate account. I also enjoy learning new things and finding ways to keep things interesting or opportunities to be more efficient.

~Why financial services?~
I fell into my first job at an RIA office as the Receptionist 26 years ago kind of accidentally, but found that I enjoy the world of finance so much I didn’t leave! I love being a part of working with peoples finances, and helping advisors see the vision for the clients plan come to fruituion. Finances are very important and personal to people, so you develop a connection rather quickly. Its always a great feeling when the clients know they can reach out to you and trust you to help them resolve an issue.

~How do you pass the time when you’re not in the office?~
I spend as much time as possible with my kids – but when I have time to myself – I love to be outside either working in the yard or finding some form of exercise to do!

~What’s a fun fact about you many people may not know?~
I love 80’s music – especially 80’s Alternative.

~Where’s your favorite place in the world?~
This sounds corny but it’s true – I love to be home and that is my favorite place in the world. Outside of home I like a little beach on Sanibel and love to be there.

~If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?~
I would choose my very good friend, Harriet, as my mentor. She was an extremely succesful, smart woman who worked a corporate job and raised her family when that wasn’t really an acceptable thing for women to do! She managed to raise kind and successful children and has been married for 45 years. She and her husband also have 6 amazing grandchildren and have lived a very happy, well rounded life. She is always someone I go to for advice and I know she will be a straight shooter!

~If you could meet anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would it be and why?~
Princess Diana – I am a huge Royal Family nerd and would love to meet her and have a conversation about so many things!

~What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity?~
Favorite Indoor activity is cooking – favorite outdoor activity is going for long walks/jogs with my dog.

~What was your first or weirdest job?~
I worked for QVC on the weekends in High School and took orders over the phone for whatever item was on the air! That was my first job and also my weirdest!
